IRME Institute was established in 2018 as the Institute of Rural Medical Education, initially focused on rural medical and paramedical education. Over time, it evolved as IRME Institute with broader work in education, healthcare education, rural development, and student guidance.
IRME is operated under Tarbiyat Sociotech Foundation, New Delhi. The foundation and institute work around education, social development, skill building, and healthcare-connected initiatives.

In 2026, IRME launched mbbs.irme.in as a focused platform for MBBS abroad guidance.
Many students face confusion, fake promises, hidden costs, wrong university selection, documentation problems, and unreliable counselling. IRME MBBS Study Abroad Program aims to make the admission journey smoother, more transparent, and more trustworthy through verified guidance, university comparison, consultant network support, and student-focused counselling.

IRME also supports another healthcare and rural medical program through telemedicine.irme.in. This program supports rural practitioners, aspiring healthcare workers, and rural communities by promoting telemedicine training and telemedicine center setup.
It is designed to help remote areas access modern health consultation services and support the broader digital health mission inspired by initiatives like eSanjeevani. Interested candidates can pursue telemedicine certificate training and then set up a telemedicine center to generate employment and contribute to rural healthcare service.
